What are Spyware, Adware, and Viruses?
According to Webopedia, Spyware is "any software that covertly gathers user information through the user's Internet connection without his or her knowledge, usually for advertising purposes." (read the full explanation.)

How to Avoid Them?

1. Avoid Those Sites - you know what I mean. Sketchy websites and pages loaded with pop-up windows are often full of viruses and spyware.

2. Update & Scan Regularly - update your anti-virus software periodically; and run the above software often (monthly, just as a suggestion).

3. Use Firewall and Other Software - please see the section below to see what other programs you can download to prevent attacks.
